Welcome to ChemEngCalc Community, the discussion forum operated at community.chemenggcalc.com as part of chemenggcalc.com (the “Forum”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Forum, including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through it.
By creating an account, posting content, or otherwise using the Forum, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Forum.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to register an account. Users between 13–18 may use the Forum only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, where permitted by local law.
- By registering, you represent that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete, and that you will maintain the accuracy of such information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
2. Account Registration and Security

3. Acceptable Use and Community Conduct

- Post spam, unsolicited advertising, chain messages, pyramid schemes, or repetitive promotional content unrelated to chemical engineering discussion.
- Upload or share content that infringes the intellectual property, copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights of any third party.
- Share proprietary, confidential, or trade-secret information belonging to your employer or any third party without authorization.
- Post technical content, calculations, or instructions intended to facilitate illegal activity or to cause harm, including but not limited to information designed to circumvent safety systems or facilitate the creation of hazardous, explosive, or controlled substances outside of legitimate, lawful academic or industrial context.
- Upload viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Forum or other users’ systems.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Forum using automated means without our prior written consent.
- Impersonate any person, business, or moderator, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Engage in personal attacks, doxxing (publishing others’ private information), or coordinated harassment of other members.
- Post off-topic political, religious, or promotional content unrelated to the purpose of this chemical engineering community.
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, edit, or remove any content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.
4. User-Generated Content and License
- You retain ownership of the intellectual property rights in content you post (“User Content”), such as your forum topics, replies, comments, and uploaded files.
- By posting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Forum, including in any media format and through any media channels now known or later developed.
- You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights and permissions to post your User Content, and that it does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party.

5. Intellectual Property

- Content shared on this Forum, including technical advice, engineering calculations, process design suggestions, and software tips, is contributed by community members and is intended for general informational and educational purposes only. The Forum may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or services, including our main site chemenggcalc.com and its calculators, or resources shared by members (e.g., Aspen, HYSYS, or other third-party software references). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party website or service. Your interactions with any third-party site are solely between you and that third party.
11. Advertising
The Forum may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Your interactions with advertisers, including any purchase or transaction, are solely between you and the advertiser.
12. Termination
